Michael F. Baltaxe
Mr. Baltaxe is a trial lawyer with substantial experience handling employment, personal injury, and civil rights cases. He has handled hundreds of employment cases, including race and gender discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, disability discrimination, whistleblowing, and wage-and-hour violations. He has received several multimillion jury verdicts in employment cases. Mr. Baltaxe is a lecturer on employment trial practice, and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in Plaintiffs’ Employment Law, since 2011. Furthermore, Mr. Baltaxe is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), one of the highest distinctions a trial lawyer can achieve. Mr. Baltaxe is also a teacher at California Employment Lawyers Association trial college.

He served as Law Clerk in the U.S. District Court, Central District of California and litigated financial, entertainment industry and police liability cases before focusing on employment law. He is a long time member of the California Employment Lawyers Association and has served as an instructor at its annual Trial College. He was formerly a member of Executive Committee of the California Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer since 2016. How do I get started?
Contact us via phone or click to submit info. We will have you answer a questionnaire and may request documents relevant to your case. The next step will be a Zoom or in-person meeting with the lawyers, if appropriate.
How does the firm get paid?
The firm represents clients on a contingent fee basis, we only get paid if we are successful. If we are successful we will be paid a percentage of the recovery. In the event there is no recovery, no fees are owed to us. Litigation costs are generally advanced by us during the case and reimbursed out of the settlement or judgment at the end of the case as well. They are separate from the legal fees owed.
How long does the process take?
The litigation process usually takes 1-2 years, although it can be longer or shorter, depending on various factors. This generally depends on the type of case and is mostly controlled by the court’s schedule.
